Nina Terrero is a Senior Correspondent at Entertainment Weekly and specializes in movies, TV, pop culture and style coverage for both the brand’s print magazine and website. In addition to her interviews and reported think pieces, Nina also recaps several popular television shows, including “Jane The Virgin” and “The Royals,” for EW.com. She appears regularly as a radio host and interviewer on Entertainment Weekly’s satellite radio station on Sirius XM, where she has interviewed celebrities including Susan Lucci (General Hospital; Devious Maids) and Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike).

A host of EW’s Must List and Newsflash digital video series, Nina also serves as on-air talent for EW and regularly appears on outlets including the TODAY Show, The View, the Wendy Williams Show, Access Hollywood, Extra, CNN, Good Morning America, Popsugar and YouTube Nation. In addition to her work as a writer and reporter, Nina is an in-demand public speaker and event host, appearing at national conferences and symposiums including Hispanicize, BlogHer, Procter & Gamble’s annual Orgullosa program and Spelman College’s Women of Color Conference. 

A skilled on-air host and personality, Nina recently appeared as a co-host of The Collective, a Hispanic-audience pop culture series  broadcast on niche cable network NUVOtv.

Before joining Entertainment Weekly, Nina was the Entertainment Editor at NBC Latino, an English language, Hispanic news digital platform at NBC News.  A member of NBC Latino’s founding team, Nina produced the site’s original, multimedia celebrityfashion, lifestyle and food features, with an emphasis on dynamic coverage of films, television, music, awards shows and entertainment news highlighting Hispanic talent. An experienced on-air reporter, Nina has interviewed Latino Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara, Marc Anthony, Juanes, Javier Bardem and Zoe Saldana, all one-on-one interviews conducted with her signature bubbly personality and hard-hitting interview style.

In addition to writing text articles, producing multimedia features and shooting/editing original video for NBC Latino, Nina hosted “Celebrity Rewind,” a digital video segment focusing on the week’s hottest entertainment stories. Nina’s reports have also appeared on numerous digital platforms across NBC News, including TODAY.com, NBC Learn, Education Nation, The Grio, MSNBC.com and NBCNews.com. While at NBC News, Nina also appeared as an entertainment expert on the TODAY Show, MSNBC and NBC affiliates nationwide, reporting on topics ranging from singer Jenni Rivera’s untimely death to the 2014 Golden Globes.

In 2012, Nina was named one of Huffington Post’s “50 Top Latino Voices to Follow on Twitter.” She has also been recognized for her health reporting by the National Hispanic Medical Association with a “Public Health Education through Media Leadership” award. In May 2013, she was listed as a “Rising Star of Journalism” by the Huffington Post. In addition, her byline and reporting has been quoted by media outlets including  Cosmopolitan.com, The Huffington Post-Latino Voices, The Daily Mail, E! News and Latina magazine.

Prior to joining NBC Latino, Nina was a digital reporter at ABC News, where she covered U.S. news features, entertainment and travel. A native of New Jersey, she graduated from Cornell University in 2007 with a degree in Government and dual concentrations in Science & Technology Studies and Law & Society. She remains involved with her alma mater as a Class Correspondent for Cornell Alumni Magazine and as a member of both the Cornell Alumni Ambassador Network and Cornell Class of 2007 Alumni Association. Of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, Nina is a graduate of Columbia University, where she earned an M.A. in Political Science. An avid foodie who blogs about her adventures in home cooking, Nina lives in Manhattan with her loving husband, who is forced to share a small living space with many, many pairs of high-heeled shoes.
